A Note from our Executive Director
The end of the year always presents a chance for reflection on what’s transpired over the previous months, to remember and embrace experiences both on the water and adventures shared on the journey.
Here at YDCCF, we’re reflecting on the opportunities to reinvest in the communities and fisheries that mean so much to us. We also recognize the immensity of the work still to be done to ensure the places we all love are protected, communities are thriving, and environments are resilient in the face of so much change. In order to succeed, we need your help: please consider including YDCCF in your year end charitable giving plans.
As traveling anglers in search of new places and adventures, we must be mindful of our impacts. Combining our dedication for both experiences and conservation, we at YDCCF know the strength of our dedication to conservation is inextricably tied to our shared experiences in these amazing locations. We form a deep love of these places by experiencing them firsthand, building relationships with the people who live and work there, and it’s through this connection that our desire to preserve and enhance these places originates.
YDCCF’s mission has always been about ensuring that these places persevere and thrive, and that the communities and fisheries that are their bedrock are able to continue to provide livelihoods for the people who make them the amazing places that they are. You can read more about how we spread that impact out in the world by visiting our Grantees page.
As we look forward to 2023, we are excited for what is to come: a newly revamped Lodge program to bring together Yellow Dog’s vast array of partners in an effort to exponentially grow YDCCF’s ability to give back to every community and fishery; the opportunity for individual anglers to make their own choices on how to help YDCCF give back; and the return of YDCCF dedicated fundraising events such as the upcoming Big Yard Bonefish Classic on Andros in February.
Conscious anglers have always led the charge when it comes to conservation and preservation of resources. As the world gets smaller, and human impacts greater, we must continue to proactively return value to the resources and communities that provide us with such amazing experiences. YDCCF was created to do just that, and in partnership with Yellow Dog Flyfishing, remains the only non-profit Foundation focused solely on giving back to these special places. Every time you book a trip with Yellow Dog, a portion of your booking goes to YDCCF to help us give back.
We are incredibly grateful for your ongoing support of our mission and endeavor to continue to be one of your primary choices for your philanthropic giving. Please consider making a year end or recurring donation here. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you out there in 2023!
Thank you!
