Keep Fish Wet
Keep Fish Wet / Bonefish in our Hands
Keep Fish Wet’s mission is to help anglers improve the outcome for each fish they release. Keep Fish Wet makes the science of catch-and-release and related best practices accessible and understandable.
In 2022, YDCCF partnered with Keep Fish Wet to build an open source, visually appealing, science-based resource (posters, stickers, and social media content) on bonefish best practices to be be shared with communities in the Bahamas. The Bonefish in our Hands project was completed and distributed to Yellow Dog partners in the Bahamas for the start of the 2023 season in October.
The project was anchored with art created by Bahamian Jace McKinney. The long-term goal of this project is to use this as a template to expand to other bonefish strongholds including Belize, Mexico and the Seychelles.
